Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026. This describes how CallGuardian (callguardian.app) handles information when you use the service. It is product policy for launch prep — have counsel review before treating it as final legal advice.

Who we serve

CallGuardian is used by a caregiver (the account holder — often an adult child) to protect one or more landlines for a protected person (for example a parent). We need both email addresses so we can notify you about unknown callers and, when you approve, send the message to them.

Information we collect

How we use it

We use this information to answer forwarded calls, take recorded messages, transcribe them, send safe-list messages to the protected person or hold unknown callers for your review, send product emails, bill per protected line, and improve reliability. Soft green / yellow / red badges are triage tags only — they are not sold or used as authoritative scam scores.

Retention

Call recordings are kept for 30 days, then deleted. Transcripts are kept permanently. While audio is retained, caregivers (and holders of a valid review link) can play or download it. After the retention window, download is unavailable; the transcript remains for history and approvals.

Sharing

We share data with processors needed to run the product: Clerk (sign-in), Twilio (voice / numbers / recordings), Stripe (billing), SMTP2GO (email), and Cloudflare (hosting, database, and file storage). We do not sell personal information. Approved or safe-list messages are emailed to the protected person you configure.

Your choices

Caregivers can manage lines, caller lists, billing, and account settings in the dashboard. Use the Contact page (or email support@callguardian.app) for access or deletion requests related to account or call history.
